Our industrial history

Over 40 years of expertise in cutting, stamping, press tooling and precision mechanics.

1

1985 - Company foundation

Foundation of MARTIGNONI/TRAISNEL company in Saint-Lo in an 80m2 facility, specialized in precision mechanics.

2

1989 - New facility

Acquisition of a 2,273 m2 land and construction of a 640 m2 workshop.

3

1991 - Diversification into press tooling

Competition in general mechanics was becoming increasingly fierce. The company took a turn imposed by its new customers and began manufacturing press tools weighing 2 to 3 tonnes. In order to test and fine-tune them, it purchased its first press.

4

1996 - Press tooling development

Small tools started being manufactured by foreign competition, so the company purchased a 1,200-ton press and a 3,500m2 land to meet customer demand. Tools increased from 15 to 18 tonnes.

5

2006

Implementation of a quality management system based on the ISO 9001:2000 standard, recognized in January 2007 by obtaining certification from Euro Quality System.

6

2007 - 2008

To resist global competition, avoid relocation and gain access to the American market, MARTIGNONI/TRAISNEL merged with VERBOM, a Canadian company operating in the same sector. It became MT VERBOM and commissioned a new 800-ton press along with a 1,750 m2 expansion including 300 m2 of offices. At the end of 2008, the company came entirely under VERBOM management and integrated the 2008 version of ISO 9001.

7

2015

On February 9, 2015, the company evolved and changed its name to VERBOM FRANCE ENGINEERING under the direction of Mr. Patrice MESNILDREY. In October 2018, VERBOM FRANCE ENGINEERING became VFE in its own right. VFE's business is now the design, manufacture and fine-tuning of press tools, and precision mechanics.

Today

Following the various crises experienced after COVID, the company has diversified into new sectors such as: aerospace, naval, defense and nuclear.
